Nayanar Memorial Museum

Kerala State Committee of CPI (M) decided to initiate steps to establish a suitable memorial for the veteran communist leader Com. E K Nayanar at Kannur. An advisory council consisting of historians and cultural leaders were formed to finalise the structure and function of the memorial. A major part of the memorial will be a history museum. The emergence of Com. E K Nayanar as a communist leader, the growth and development of communist party and its class and mass organizations in Kerala and its contributions in building a modern Kerala will be exhibited in the Museum. It is further planned to showcase the resistance and protests by the people of Kerala under the banner of Communist party and other nationalist movements along with socio-political and cultural activities that paved the way to these movements. .
